Community Services Group, Inc. is Hiring a Group Therapist Near Lancaster, PA
This position is part of our Adult Mental Health (MH) Services Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Full-Time (40 hours per week) - Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Provides case administration to an assigned caseload.
- Facilitates group process and activity within the program.
- Contributes to the multidisciplinary treatment team process.
- Performs clinical assessments and develops/implements treatment plans.
- Communicates relevant information regarding individual to family and appropriate agencies.
- Shares in the ongoing assessment of individual’s progress.
- Knowledge of mental health and/or intellectual and developmental disability diagnoses and symptomology.
- Knowledge of general principles of psychopathology.
- Knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology.
- Knowledge of regulations governing the treatment of people in psychiatric health facilities.
- Knowledge of group dynamics/processes.
- Ability to effectively manage crisis situations that may include verbal/physical altercations and/or suicidal/self-injurious thoughts or actions.
- Ability to conceptualize and plan appropriate therapy programs for individuals seeking mental health treatment.
- Ability to adapt treatment programs by graduating tasks to meet individual’s level of function.
- Ability to use basic medical and psychiatric terminology.
- Ability to understand professional confidentiality and ethical responsibility.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings.
